Restructuring partner Sunny Singh has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 40 Under 40 program for 2020. The annual award recognizes the insolvency professionals under the age of 40 who are setting the standard for excellence in the field.

Mr. Singh was recognized for his leading-edge expertise and achievements as a top restructuring attorney. He is spearheading the chapter 11 restructuring of Exide Holdings, and has had a leading role in Sears Holdings Corporation’s landmark chapter 11 case. In addition, Mr. Singh recently helped lead the complex chapter 11 restructurings of Ditech Holding Corporation and Fusion Connect, among others.

The award also recognized Mr. Singh’s leadership and service to the legal community. He is a dedicated mentor and is closely involved in developing the up-and-coming attorneys in Weil’s Restructuring Department.

Mr. Singh is widely recognized as a leading restructuring attorney. He has been named a Rising Star in the field by Law360IFLR1000 and Turnarounds & Workouts, among other accolades.

The 40 Under 40 honorees were selected from a competitive pool of over 250 nominees from across the insolvency profession. The honorees will be recognized at a virtual American Bankruptcy Institute event in February and profiled in the ABI Journal.
