Hong Kong associate Minna Zhang has been recognized as a 2025 Hong Kong Rising Star by Thomson Reuters’ Asian Legal Business. The annual Rising Star award “spotlights the next generation of the region’s lawyers” who are demonstrating high-quality work, and earning accolades from their clients in the process.
Minna is an associate in Weil’s Asia Restructuring practice with extensive experience advising on contentious and non-contentious restructuring and insolvency-related matters. She has acted for a wide range of stakeholders, including debtors, creditors and insolvency practitioners in Hong Kong and Australia. Her recent work includes the restructuring of the offshore bond debt issued by the Shimao Group and the offshore debt restructuring of the China Aoyuan Group.
Minna has also been playing an active role in the restructuring industry, which is exemplified by her position as a Board Member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) Hong Kong chapter and in heading up the NextGen committee.
