Restructuring partner David Griffiths has been named to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s “40 Under 40” program for 2021. The annual award recognizes the insolvency professionals under the age of 40 who are setting the standard for excellence in the field.
David recently led the global restructuring of Speedcast International, the first fully virtual chapter 11 proceeding. He also advised Topgolf International in its recapitalization efforts and merger with Callaway Golf Company. His previous accomplishments include advising on the landmark chapter 11 cases of Westinghouse Electric Company, MF Global and General Motors, among many other debtor- and creditor-side representations.
The award also recognized David’s leadership, pro bono service and contributions to the legal community. A nominee for Weil’s Mentoring Award, David is committed to the professional development and success of associates in the Restructuring Department.
David is widely recognized as a leading restructuring attorney. He has been named a Rising Star in the field by Law360 and Turnarounds & Workouts, among other accolades.
American Bankruptcy Institute selected the honorees from a competitive pool of over 200 nominees from across the insolvency profession. The honorees will be recognized at an American Bankruptcy Institute event in December and profiled in the ABI Journal.
