Mr. Griffiths’ work as a capital markets lawyer in the Firm’s London office on an out-of-court restructuring for the European side of General Motors ultimately led him to pursue a career as a restructuring lawyer.  Mr. Griffiths noted that helping people is a motivator for him, and that when he does his job well, he is able to see those businesses recover and do well.

When asked about his proudest moment as an attorney, Mr. Griffiths said that his pro bono work at Weil has brought him the most pride in his career.  “The nice thing about working at a global law firm is that you get the ability to use the firm’s resources, which are typically deployed for enormous, multinational business, to help out one person,” he said.

A team of Law360 editors selected the 2019 Rising Stars winners after reviewing more than 1,300 submissions.  Mr. Griffiths is among the attorneys under the age of 40 whose legal accomplishments belie their age.
