In observance of Columbus Day, Canadian Thanksgiving, Indigenous People’s Day, and Hugh Jackman’s birthday, the Bankruptcy Blog is closed for business today.
We also note the thirty-first year of effectiveness of the Uniform Monday Holiday Act (Pub. L. 90-363).  Signed into law in June of 1968, the Uniform Monday Holiday Act moved Washington’s Birthday (i.e., “Presidents Day”), Memorial Day, Columbus Day, and Veterans Day to designated Mondays, rather than fixed dates each year.
